The purpose of this program is to provide an opportunity for aspiring coaches to gain valuable hands-on experience within a competitive coaching environment. Junior coaches work directly alongside the Renegade senior coaches to ensure they are supported and provided with the skills necessary to be successful.
Throughout the season, junior coaches will observe practices and be given tools to lead club athletes and offer constructive feedback. Various topics and areas of coaching will be introduced and discussed. Some of these include practice planning and organization, player and team management, and drill and skill critique.
Junior coaches will also be involved in the planning and running of Mini-Gades, which provides opportunities for local community club athletes to be introduced to what it means to be and train like a Renegade.
